I worked at BNY Mellon full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Huge opportunities to discover talent and contribution

Cons

Satellite gets little over view from other top administrators, can get lost in the shuffle.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Aggressive hiring does appear suspicious to the oncoming prospect, and a custom proprietary system is in the best interest of the company since it quickly builds operator confidence and contribution.

I worked at BNY Mellon (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good office supplies, clean bathrooms, nice cafeteria

    Cons

To many VP's and upper management, which needs to be cleaned out. Instead of laying off lower end staff to make up for cost, upper management which are in the dozens per department (doing the same job) should be reconsidered also. Company has had many changes and implementing new technology which usually never works properly, and instead of addressing or correcting the issue no one wants to be bothered and a work around is always done. Having "work a round's" with every new task (to be up to par with current other companies) has created more work and headaches vs. easier and more secure job functionality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should so more concern to its current employees. "Hey, great job today" would be ideal since the moral of every person is down. Stop outsourcing to other cheaper states - sooner or later you will lose business instead of saving money, due.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work-life balance is ok.
You will get paid a salary and will not starve.

    Cons

    Poor pay.
You are essentially a cog; the best you can ever do is not screw up.
Very few transferrable skills to learn.
Virtually no culture. You go in, do your job, go home.
Having "fund accountant" on your resume will impress no one, making it difficult to leave later on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more honest with employees about long-term career prospects.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
