    Pros

The people. Great place where people who do want to get things done, collaborate and push things through.

    Cons

Dead wood - Many mergers have resulted in some in-effective management members and in some PM teams, it’s possible to hide and do nothing.

    Cons

    Can be too political
Sometimes too driven on bottom line at the expense of a quality service to its clients

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I had my doubts when BNYM bought the EMEA Corp Trust business from JPMorgan Chase Bank back in Oct 2006. My advice would be to keep believing in the folks in Poole and drawing on their longstanding knowledge/expertise in the Corp Trust business. Remember to praise the staff when they have performed well. Don't take it for granted.
