I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time

Pros

As long as you get things done, they are pretty cool with other things. There is not much over time involved. People are friendly and willing to help.

Cons

Management level don't encourage development and growth. They expect you stay there forever and do your work. You can forecast your salary in 10 year because it's increasing rate is flat.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should encourage internal transfer and self development.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great experience if you're interested in Corporate Trust. Depending on the team you work with middle managers do try to push you to experience new things (i.e. deal closings, liquidations, etc). Coworkers are friendly and willing to help one another.

    Cons

It has been my experience that it is extremely hard to get promoted, especially within a team. Senior management doesn't seem to care about losing good people to other companies, which makes everyone feel as though senior management doesn't care about anyone.

I worked at BNY Mellon full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent Vacation for entry level position. There is tuition reimbursement. You are paid for overtime. Work 7.5 hours a day with one hour lunch. Its a great entry level job.

    Cons

Def. underpaid compared to other companies. Raises & Promotions are very little. They give less than 2% merit increases normally and promotions won't see more than 10% above salary. If you are looking to stay at BNY Mellon and advance, you will be making significantly less money than peers who are hired from outside of Mellon.
