I worked at BP

Pros

The work is interesting and in finance it enables you to see the entire operation from birth to completion and get knowledge of the technical aspect.

Cons

Career progression is slow, due to large numbers of people ahead of you in the line towards promotion who are equally deserving.

I have been working at BP

    Pros

Pay, benefits and world wide opportunities

    Cons

Politics, forced below expectation ratings, clicks and good old boys and girls clubs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you say inclusion, mean it. Management should reserve the right to rate below expectation reviews but not force rank. Hold managers accountable for clear measurable expectations. Too many variables when it comes to reviews.

I have been working at BP

    Pros

Good benefits and insurance, decent pay, many training classes available
BP donates $300 per year to the charity of your choice
Two personal days per year, vacation

    Cons

Sluggish workplace concerning process improvement and change
    Poor collaboration all around
    High turnover rate
Continued "restructuring" puts many at fear of losing job at any time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Setting a small amount of time for employees to work on department improvements could save large amounts of time and money in the future

Stop restructuring and letting employees go, the turnover rate has made all employees uneasy and less likely to work to improve the environment if at any time they may be next

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO
