I worked at BP full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Regional Offices have a great family atmosphere where everyone strives for the success of the office
    - Good benefits
    - For the most part, it seems the company looks out for its own people
    - Extra emphasis on compliance and safety

    Cons

    - Lots of red tape/bureaucracy
    - Headquarters is "always right"
    - Regional offices are slowly being downsizes (depends on company segment)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut down on the red tape and allow the employees, those who work on the front lines every day and who know the business best, to provide more input and have a greater say in the development of business opportunities.

I have been working at BP full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

BP is very active at developing its people. They provided lots of good opportunities. People make the place enjoyable. My team had a great handle on work/life balance, not all teams did.

    Cons

Politics are very important there and everyone in leadership seems to need to give the "ok" before a project can move forward. BP seems paralyzed by past mistakes and their desire for extensive analysis.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your people to do the job you hired them for.

    Doesn't Recommend

    No opinion of CEO
