CYA mentality rewards the political
Constant non-transparent drip-feed of redundancies - people disappear
NI staff have total security, RoI staff have none.
Financial results totally dependent on headcount cuts in RoI

Huge pressure to sell
Little work-life balance

    Canteen
    Young Scientist Exhibition
    Opportunity to learn

    Cons

    Long hours
    Political environment
    Culture of micromanagement
Headcount cuts by stealth every qtr
Not a "Great Place to Work"

    Advice to Management

Stop pretending you're joining 2 teams together to benefit the customer - we know it's to meet a headcount target - The secret lay-off's every qtr are causing a poor culture. Cut once and finish.

    Pros

    Competitive salary.
    Large corporate clients.
    Global network.

    Cons

Sales and Finance people are trying to run a Telco where engineers are not appreciated and treated very poorly.
    Demotivating, depressing work environment.
Small, dirty offices with very little desk space and no air-conditioning.

    Advice to Management

BT used to treat engineers fairly in the UK, why not do the same in Ireland?
