Growing by acquisition , poorly

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Babcock International full-time

ProsThey are a FTSE 100 They are experiancing a massive amount of growth

ConsAs they aquire former public services they employ former employees, via TUPE, to elevated positions that that those people clearly are not capable of fulfilling. In some cases these people use this "promotion" as a chance to reek retribution on former bosses ,collegues. Being part of this aquisition is akin to being part of an invasion , they do nothing but put up corporate signs and paint walls etc to smooth the movement ,which is mostly despised. They are a awful company to work for, if this is the future of UK Business we are in for some harsh times ahead, companies like this can not go on like they do forever.A good slab of British rebellion should see an end to Babcock's shoddy behaviour.

Advice to Senior ManagementWell firstly, you need to employ external management rather than try and gloss it all over with the staff you are lumped with via TUPE, I have always had the impression that once the TUPE agreement had ended, so would a lot of careers

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
