One of the biggest cutthroats in the business

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Stamford, CT

ProsIf you are part of the upper management team, they will treat you good. Good enough that they don't make waves to fight for the field hands.

ConsThey hire in states with some of the lowest costs of living (i.e. Houston), and send them to work on a state with one of the highest (i.e. Stamford, Ct). Their per diem package barely covers half the hotel bill, if you get into the one that gives the company a discount, otherwise a quarter of the bill. They don't compensate you for the cost of living increase at all. The ave. carpenter there is making 14 hr. and the prevailing wage in Ct is 28 to 38 hr.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou have a dozen field hand (plus or minus) cycling in and out of that job on a weekly basis. They can't afford to work there and the management team there doesn't care. Ask yourselves why?
