Current Employee – been working at Baker Hughes
Pros – Decent work environment, peers care about one another, senior techs willing to share knowledge with entry level mechanics . State of the art on the job training. Excellent safety emphasis in place in the yard and on the field site . Shift leaders show genuine concern for employees. Senior Maintenance Supervisor supplied some tools at his expense.
Cons – Layoffs are unfortunately prevelant company wide. However, layoffs have been the fewest in North Dakota compared to other Baker-Hughes US locations. Senior management can be micromanagerial but do show concern and address issues at hand in a timely manner.
Advice to Senior Management – Show the hard working employees and shift leaders appreciation for their work ethic and willingness to to learn. Get rid of the "job milkers" and "pay check" gatherers. They are the number one reason productivity is not at it's fullest potential and hurt the company's reputation.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
