  1. Good, but could be so much better with a more refined vision from senior management

    Pros

    People are genuinely friendly
    Benefits aren't too bad
The "political" game isn't as strong as at other companies
    Quality products/services
Future performance of company should be good

    Cons

Lack of vision by senior management for support functions
Many necessary support functions are contracted out (and poorly at that)
    Lack of established processes
    Information sharing is poor
Systems streamlining is poor (for example each product line developed their own SAP reports instead of standard reports serving all product lines)
Waiting 5 years between each bump up in vacation time

    Advice to Management

While the Baker One reorganization was a good idea, the execution has been severely lacking in everything but the sales/operations force. Someone with enough authority and budget needs to champion an efficiency initiative to streamline the support functions and establish best practices across all product lines.

  2. Bogged down by internal processes

Lots of resources to conduct business, training opportunities, potential for cross product line movement

    Cons

Internally focused with multitude of endless meetings, slow to react to customer needs
