Current Employee - Director, Information Technology in Houston, TX
Current Employee - Director, Information Technology in Houston, TX

I have been working at Baker Hughes full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

The managment team really does exhibits their core values. Average lenght of employment is really long - over 10 years. Lots of internal opportunities. Lots of training. Good retirement benefits.

Cons

The up and downs of the oil business means feast or famine cycles. Constant change based on what is happening with the price of oil. Movement between jobs is good in Houston but not so good outside of Houston, especially in the UK or Far East.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The staff is too thin right now. Beef up with more employees as the market picks up in Houston because a lot of folks are getting burned out.

Recommends
Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO
