Great place to work

Scientist (Current Employee)
Houston, TX

ProsLarge company, variety of jobs/people/locations. Easy to interact with senior management. Oilfield isn't going anywhere.

ConsBaker Hughes is strangling itself with bureaucracy, voluntarily. New products and ideas are endlessly dissected by unqualified people in countless meetings. The silo type structure hasn't changed since 'Baker One' 4 years ago and the 'divisions' barely acknowledge each others existence.

Advice to Senior ManagementMove faster. Don't stifle innovation. Reduce the workload for product development and eliminate the deadwood.
