I have been working at Baker Hughes full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great name, Decent benefits, Excellent support, Room for advancement, Hard work is recognized, A chance to really make a name for yourself, Excellent fringe benefits, Depending on your location the teamwork can really make work a joy.

Baker is an excellent place to get a start or make a career. They have treated me very fairly, and I believe they treat everybody who is a good hand like they should.

    Cons

Lower pay than most competitors, Life/Work balance can be pretty bad but you know what you're getting in to when you signed up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize that pay is extremely important to everybody. Most employees realize it's a team environment and it's not "all about the pay," but when the rubber hits the road it will often times come down to that. Otherwise, you're gonna keep losing good employees to competitors.
