Waste of My Time

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Baldor Electric full-time for more than 3 years

ProsA paycheck(albeit, a small one).

Cons"We promote from within" is a joke. I have a 4 year degree in engineering and 3 of the last 4 engineer jobs were filled with new hires. Pay, along with raises, is extremely low. The location I worked at bragged about setting profit records each year, only to reward the people that make the actual money very little. Bias directly from the top is also a concern. As soon as they feel you don't represent their "core beliefs", you will be sent out the door with no consideration of your work record. Fear of losing your job is exploited to the max.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere's no advice you can give these people that would make a difference. They have a vision, and hourly employees aren't in it.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
