    I have been working at Bally Technologies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good and challenging work.

    Get to play with some really cool technologies.

    Cons

    The work environment is slowly turning from a product company environment to service company environment. Dress codes, strict monitoring of time spent in company, very strict deadlines etc.

    No longer a fun environment to work in. High handedness and strictness by US seniors, when they themselves skip deadlines sometimes( but when they do it, it is OK. They are doing other important stuff).

    Cost cutting to a point of insulting the employees. It is very irritating to see the company's revenue going up, work quantity going up, but facilities going down.

    Started curbing hikes and promotions. Again the same thing. When you see the company's revenue and profit going up, but hikes going lower, it is very difficult to feel as a part of the "Bally family".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get rid of some crazy rules which stifles innovation rather than nurture it. Why does a company with 1000 employees need dress code, that too in gaming domain ? Beats me.

    Do not monitor swipe in and swipe outs . Everybody knows their work. And most of the times, they do complete in time .

    Increase the employee facilities and benefits. I understand cost cutting is necessary, but not to a level where it starts looking cheap. If you can't improve on it, atleast don't lower it.
