Pros

Location, no stress, easyt going

Cons

Boring job - no upside.
-Long hours.
-Incompetent staff.
-Incompetent managers.
-Multiple projects at the same time with same deadlines.
-Decent salary, but the pay does not justify hours and stress levels.
-Mobile devices - blackberry and laptop give managers the right to bother you whenever and wherever with questions. No clear distinction between work and life balance.
-Some industry groups have "cliques." The partners of these cliques work on the best clients of that particular group, determine compensation, and promotions. You need to luck out and get on one of those clients or you are out of luck. Careers shouldn't be based on luck of the draw.

    Pros

    Excellent benefits, surprisingly good salaries.

    Cons

    Croneyism and lack of information flow, and poor systems make it impossible to do an effective job; causing a good amount of frustration. Management does not help. No review process for employees/

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Managers need to take more of a stake in what is going on, get the big picture and act to make departments effective. They must stop acting like entitled placeholders waiting for their pensions. They must promote honestry, integrity and competency by setting the example themselves.
