Banamex – “Good place to work, but be careful on who's hiring you...may become a dead end”

Pros

Exposure to an extense set of business settings. Great brand to have in your resume. Deep pockets (big budgets). You get to meet the some of the smartest people in Mexico...but they are hard to find

Cons

Bureacracy and perverse internal politics, low recognition for merits, weak hiring process. Outdated/obsolete business practices. Slow responsiveness to market challenges.

Advice to Senior Management

Restructure, lay off inefficient people, improve internal communications, improve performance management processes. Bring new senior managers with more up-to-date business vision, get rid of the "old time management style". Invest in technology!!! maybe outsource it.; internal systems development practices really hurt Banamex's ability to respond to these days business challenges. Improve customer service and the website; now that I'm an outsider, I can say that from a customer perspective its a pain to deal with Audiomatico and Bancanet. Beat up Bancomer!!
