    Pros

The other associates are amazing, some of the managers are great and flexible with school schedules. It's somewhat of a creative environment, but there are definite guidelines to follow which makes it a challenging job, while keeping within "the box." Its just the right mixture of freedom and structure that I need.

    Cons

Don't always feel support from GM or DM. The expectations for my particular role are ridiculous compared to my rate of pay. No one could possible survive on their own without a second job and continuing an education is extremely difficult while working full-time here. Sometimes it seems as though upper management plays favorites and if you are not a favorite, you will not get anywhere with this company, and they may even try to force you out of your job.

    Advice to Management

Look at the work of your people as individuals, not on the total number of BRC's they open, or the $$ in sales they bring in. Being a good employee is so much more than the numbers on a spreadsheet. Also, I can't pay my mortgage with applause cards, instead of silly programs designed to make us feel appreciated, pay full-time non-key holders a decent wage.

  2. Fun but hard chance of advancement in retail locations
