I worked at Banana Republic part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Nice coworkers, fun/young bosses, safe work environment, good training opportunities, GREAT discount.

Cons

Be prepared to sell more credit cards than clothes, and being punished with bad hours and menial labor if you don't.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize how great the store could be if credit cards were not an issue.

I have been working at Banana Republic part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Aside from the 50% employee discount, working with customers who shares your fashion views is truly an enriching experience. I work in a Revolution store so our customers base knows what they want and thus making it a lot easier for me to assist. The managers are very supportive and will acknowledge your strengths and help you out with your weaknesses. I'm looking forward to working for BR for a long time or as long as I am needed.

    Cons

For such a big store (Revolution), the budget for hours is pretty low. It's a very high maintenance store that demands more workers. 3 people closing will not cut it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the favoritism. It's pretty obvious. It brings down the morale and in return brings down the store.
