Cons
I am currently a Banking officer who has been there for two years within the Internal Audit group in New York
The audit department is poorly run. I would recommend not joining the group. the morale is very low and overall management is not friendly or professional.
save yourself the headache of joining and then quitting three months later..
very abusive management (VP level) that treats Banking Officers and AVP with unprofessional language and with no respect.
Work hrs are long due to inefficent scheduling of audits.
High turnover rate due to disregard for staff concerns and bad working conditions.
The rest of Bank seems to be ok, but you are not allowed to transfer out of audit.
They try to hire Big 4 candidates often so that the salary difference appears large for incoming Big 4 candidates. Thier pay structure is not competitive with local banks and bonuses are not based on merit.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your staff closely to motivate them. Setup a professional envirorment.
