Teller

Professional Teller (Former Employee)
Houston, TX

ProsWorking at Bank of America was the best thing that I decided to do while going to college. They were very flexible in working with my school schedule. They also had a tuition reimbursement plan that I decided to take advantage of. The hours are great. The work load was not hard, being that I was a professional teller. They have a good corporate culture. Upper level management took the time to come into our banking center gave us great feedback, Also at Bank of America, the dress code is just business casual and at times we were able to wear jeans on Fridays.

ConsOne of the main things that I would recommend to Bank of America is to not be understaffed at their banking centers. I worked at an extremely busy banking center and we were always short tellers. People were continuously waiting to be served and we were never given more tellers to help out. Also recognition for excellent work ethics would be great to have, There should be some type of fairness in allocated whether a teller should work in the lobby or drive through. I think that referrals are implemented too much to achieve when customers want to be served quickly,

Advice to Senior ManagementSenior Management should not under staff banking centers.
