Pros

Worked in the investment banking division; very good comp and work life balance is not horrible considering how most banks are.

Cons

Hard to get things done sometimes in a large organization such as BofA. Employees are just a "number" as opposed to individuals.

    Pros

Bank of America provide options for medical, dental, and eye insurance. The cost is based on a sliding scale according to your income. Children of employees with at least one year of employment are eligible for a renewable scholarship, now set at $2500 per year. Associates, as we are called, are eligible for BAC associate banking discounts. Associates can purchase and additional week of vacation.

    Cons

The call center enviroment is designed for optimun production and limited individuality. Goals are aggressive and achievement is required, yet set high enough to make it almost impossible to achieve on a monthly basis. Goals are moved on a regular basis, education is limited as is the time needed to improve preformance. Legal disclosures required by each associate to sign will allow BAC to terminate an employee for 1 of a myriad of reasons. You are a machine when at work. Ever possilbe measurement of your time and production will occur.

  2. A hard-sales driven environment with a toxic attitude towards it's customers

    Pros

Great benefits including insurance and employee banking

    Cons

Low salary, constantly changing sales quotas based on new and untested strategic initiatives, a stagnant and uncompromising environment, no ability to have your voice heard or personality shine, little ability to use problem-solving or customer service abilities as everything is centralized and very black-and-white with little to no no grey area in which to work within. A severe lack of trust exists within the consumer market and therefore we spend a lot of time and training learning 'how to say no and offer guidance' which is basically "Sorry we can't help you but here's how to avoid this in the future".
