I have been working at Bank of America full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The Training Program for Financial Advisors is comprehensive and thorough and the firm is quite inclusive in truly promoting diversity. The Firm is really serious about its fiduciary responsibility to clients and has set up programs and policies that align the advisors actions with the well being of the client. The technological resources and platform for investment research are unsurpassable.

    Cons

The firm has a culture of control and regulations which can feel limiting at times. The firms boasts of having the finest training program in the industry but that appears hyped and overstated. There is very little face to face instruction and attention. Trying to process the myriad email communiqures from the firm is exhausting and overwhelming.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Firm needs to be more transparent about the challenges and difficulties in attaining goals for the new hire. I am under the impression that the turnover for new hires in the PMD program is enormously high. I believe that new hires need more face to face attention to create the enthusiasm and develop the skills necessary to be successful.
