Pros

Technology. This place has the best technology platform I have ever seen.

Cons

Where to start. From the top down, this place is clueless.

Advice to Management

Listen to your people. It's not all about reports.

    Pros

Market size Mostly good people, just in a caustic environment

    Cons

Too much focus on internal measures, to justify the leader's job...vs measuring performance for the customer. HR thinks they're smarter than the business leaders....and granted too much power and influence. Poor Change Management practices, leaders implement new changes way too frequently...that way they don't have to be accountable for their previous change project producing promised results. Shell game

    Advice to Management

Take a harder look at upper management to understand the root of your issues,

    Pros

I worked in Capital Markets Technology in New York, due to size & breadth of company, you can gain exposure and access to SME's across fixed income, equities, rates, etc. Also, there is a top-notch initiative with senior management buy-in to bring all trading & risk onto a common platform.

    Cons

Huge company, sometimes this translates to redundant levels of decision making, and it can be time-consuming to find the person or group best suited to address a given issue. Internal tech support & HR sub-optimal.
