I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

I get a continuous source of customers calling in to do their mortgage loan. The payout per loan is more than fair.

Cons

Customer service/fulfillment, the loan processing and underwriting, is understaffed. Processing quality and turn times are a problem

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue with intensive training for the loan processors and consider giving them an incentive to complete their work on a timely and quality basis.

    Pros

    Potential to make a lot of money if you perform well.
    A great deal of support from managers and even executives.
    Good benefits.
    Worked around my college schedule and offered reimbursement for any degree sought.

    Cons

    People are mean. Customer service is a terrible field and you get abused everyday.
    A lot of pressure to get customers off the phone quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Allow for more internal growth based on merit. Keep rewarding success, its a great incentive for a difficult business to work in.
