I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good company to move up in "corporate ladder, "easy to transfer to "close to home "if you work in the retail branch.

Cons

They make you cross sell products that customer don't really need so that you can hit your goals, making employees feel like every customer they come in contact with has to walk away with a product.

Advice to Management

Lighten up on the sales goals.

    Pros

Just the big name in wall street, average pay, good campus. Good junior level associates.

    Cons

I have been here for 3 years now and find that work is really more than 45 hours a week with little appreciation and monetary benefits. Also lot of politics internal, big fat at top leve who contribute nothing towards the group.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of people who don't contribute to actual work, having traffic cops does not help. Hire people who are good technically and are modest.

    Pros

Interned there as a Technology Developer and Business Analyst in the Newark, DE office. People were nice and I got paid to sit around basically.

    Cons

Boring. Boring. Boring. I actually wanted to work and not just sit around. My supervisor didn't give me anything to do till 3 weeks into the internship. I was basically just staring at a computer screen in a cubicle all day. Didn't really get any hands on experience. Sat in on boring conference calls and meetings. Sure the money was great but the living and working experience was horrible. I basically looked at it as just something to put on my resumé.

    Advice to Management

Let interns have a more hands on experience during the internship. Be a little bit more sociable.
