I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Very proactive senior management - they take active steps to manage risk pro-actively (not merely hedging but actively taking risk as well) Very good feedback loop - feedback works on 360 (steps are taken by senior management to address issues on which adverse feedback has been received from juniors) Fair compensation - at par with peers and good visibility vs performance

Cons

Support functions are excessively bureaucratic. Can be slow to venture into new areas / sieze new opportunities. Still in the process of 'right sizing' - that means managing VaR, capital ratios and headcount.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The starting salary was good. My department offered quarterly bonuses.

    Cons

The organization is unorganized - both from a professional and personal standpoint (I banked with them). Raises aren't that great. The stress level is way too high. This company doesn't pride themselves on resolving issues, quantity over quality. Management would refuse to take escalated calls.

    Advice to Management

If your refusal to take escalated calls was for employees to increase their skill sets, there should be some type of training offered to employees that have to take those difficult calls.
