Pros

You learn a great deal if you are willing to ask questions, dig deeper into solving problems, volunteer for the tough challenges, and collaborate internally.

Cons

Salary - It is kind of an internal joke that to make money here (in line with the market and experience) you have to either leave the bank and come back later or be a contractor.

Get rid of poorly performing employees quickly - The bank tends to be slow to rid itself of terrible employees which leads to the top performers picking up the slack spreading resentment and negativity throughout both the immediate team and larger organization.

Advice to Management

Pay to keep top talent, refine annual performance reviews to reflect true individual performance and get rid of the "dead weight" employees.

    Pros

    Trying to implement a methodology

    Cons

It appeared that experienced, older associates, with higher salaries and potentially more costly benefits were the people being let go while more junior and least expensive associates were being kept. Also the female leader surrounded herself with other females, which she promoted. Appeared to be an agenda, but you can never really prove these things can you....

    Advice to Management

My leader would require you to run meetings a certain way, which she didn't do herself when she ran meetings. Go figure.....
