I have been working at Bank of America part-time for more than a year

Pros

Amazing Benefits. Tuition reimbursement is payed out really fast.

Cons

Cutbacks are making jobs in the banking center more and more demanding with no real incentives to perform well.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The bank is cutting jobs in the banking centers but still expect customer service scores to be top notch, scores which are based in customer wait time. You can't expect a very limited staff help every customer in a timely manner. You can't expect tellers to meet the referral goals if there is only one banker to refer to. Happy employees make for happy customer interaction and you can't expect employees to be happy if asking more of them with out additional compensation.

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are good but pricey, Many diversity groups, always promoting volunteering in the local community.

    Cons

Management is enabled to target hard working good employees. They claim the associates have a voice and they say there is a no retaliation policy but it's not true. Suggestions made by employees that actually do the work are brushed aside for ideas of grandeur by management that knows nothing about the functions the associates perform. Management is not required or even advised to learn how to do the functions of the teams they are managing. They look down on people that help their peers. Recognition is not given where due, but rather to associates that brown nose the management. Hard work is not rewarded but kissing up is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your associates. They know the job and have wonderful ideas on how to improve it. Stop the favoritism and reward the associates based on their work ethic and performance rather than who you personally get along with. I will never recommend this company to anyone either for employment or banking.
