Pros

-Meet some great people
-Learn sales techniques
-Somewhat flexible work hours
-Learn a lot about money and financing strategies

Cons

-Management treats tellers like dirt
-All they care about is sales but don't give any incentive
-Low pay

-Many employees climb up corp latter without proving themselves
-etc,,,

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your tellers with respect, they bring in at least 60% of your sales and are the face of the company. Without them, you'd fail.

I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

You have an opportunity to work a lot of hours. And the pay for the work is better than other financial firms.

    Cons

They are understaffed and work you to the point of exhaustion. They need to provide better benefits for contractors and opportunities for full time employment instead of just contract.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give options for those that have the energy and desire to work their way up the corporate ladder to have full time jobs.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great training program.. Prepares you for the banking industry with significant training and on going system Improvements. Best in class training program

    Cons

Good ol boy environment for top level positions.. Considered for executive positions because of affiliation more than merit in many cases! They change the focus often when the financial agendas are not met.. Thus confusing the employees focus. Loyalty to employees is not solid unless you are in the inner circle of executive management!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the inner click hiring and promoting from a biased point of view
