Great upper management that will listen and help advance if you let it be known.

Pros

Benefits and including tuition reimbursement, child care, holidays off, 401k 5% match. Get paid 2hr/week for colunteering

Cons

Depending on line of work, may have to work saturdays. Also if your at a banking center wih a bad manager, that can make your experience awful!

Advice to Management

Focus less on sales and look at the potential and drive of current employees

    Pros

    Decent pay

Mobility options encouraged throughout the company

    Some awesome managers

    Cons

Some terrible, horrific managers - watch out for those

Not always paid for performance (even though they say it is)

Terrible IT systems that need to be updated (still working through past mergers and not enough investment)

Hard to be promoted past a certain level (waiting for seniors to move on or die...)

Lots of redundancies - job security is poor. I've seen some awesome senior level people who have been there for decades let go.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your IT.

  2. Like most other banks trying to find a balance between "business" and "humaness" in a post recession world

    Pros

Associate development and opportunities are plentiful. Lots of opportunities for additional incentives and salary enhancement

    Cons

Micro-management, typically long and monotonous hours of dealing with repetitive transactions from predictable customers.

    Advice to Management

Let your professional, driven, and proven associates make decisions to better represent the bank without having to always ask manager's for permission. Fix problems submitted by associates instead of stating they are "isolated incidents"
