I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Benefits, benefits, benefits. Multiple weeks of vacation, generous 401(k), tuition reimbursement, child care reimbursement. The benefits package is truly superior to most companies.

Cons

The Peter Principle abounds. Employees are discouraged from being innovative or thinking outside the box. Talent is not rewarded and pay is not commensurate with job performance expectations.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recruit, hire, train, and retain quality employees and then trust them to do the job you've given them. The bureaucratic overlays and abysmal compensation are choking production and running off the employees who will bring the Bank to its highest level of efficiency. Stop hiring imbeciles (and then promoting them) just because you can get them on the cheap. Their results are on par with the pay. If the right associates were recruited and retained, it would mitigate future reputational and financial challenges.
