I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Banks make enough money they still offer Pensions to employees; your fees at work I suppose

    Cons

Arrogance beyond belief, which led to more than 25K employees losing their jobs, and contributed to the worst US economic disaster since the Great Depression; enough said.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Salary and benefit package was good; co-workers were good people and pleasant to work with; location was a convenient commute

    Cons

Too large to care about customers or employees; senior people in the wrong positions; decisions seem to take forever, yet projects must be completed at warp speed; too many last-minute projects and directives; too much stress; too little work-life balance; the culture values diversity but doesn't consider workers over 50 to be a part of that diversity (affinity groups for LGBT and every ethnic group under the sun, but no affinity group for older workers, or any interest from the company in starting one); the "hurry up" culture grinds people to pulp

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restructure the company and the business processes; celebrate work life balance; return to the roots of the old Bank of America culture; reduce the influence of the New York / Boston crowd on the Board and the senior management team

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
