I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (more than a year)

Pros

BofA really impressed me for several reasons.....even though they are a large company, they are able to move very quickly when they want to hire someone which can give them a competitive edge. Salaries and overall compensation is very competitive to the market. But the main thing that impressed me was that they are very open to moving people around within the organization and look outside the black and white box of resumes and title and instead consider special skills and strengths and potential. It's very progressive of them. Another strength is that they are very flexible about working from home as long as you are able to get the work done.

Cons

My biggest con was meetings! Conference calls...not a big fan. :)

I have been working at Bank of America part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, nice staff, they really care about protecting you.

    Cons

Long application process, requires your own money and investment, boring online training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do in person training. Online training is not effective and adds to your high turn-over rate.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great if you are looking for long term career in one organization.
Tons of benefits and training is available.

    Cons

Career Growth is mediocore and slow.
    Escalation is the norm
Everyone has plenty of work on their plates, so really can't leverage the great trainings that are available.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great Job Mr. CEO in turning the company around.
Reward of Employees appropriately for their work.
With a company of this size, more competitive insurance pricing can be achieved.
