I worked at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and is trying to be more streamline. When they see a problem that is not getting the results they need they will examine the process and try to correct problem.

    Cons

Leadership needs to take people skills class. Some times immediate management will not listen when a problem arises. The problem needs to be escalated to a more mature manager

I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

-great benefits, paid time off, tuition and childcare reimbursement, and many perks/discounts offered
-for sales and management positions, pay-for-performance ensures you are rewarded for hitting and exceeding your goals
    -hourly pay plus incentive pay
-company tries to foster a recognition culture

    Cons

-retail banking. it is what it is.
-bankers become slaves to the incentive plans which change every year.
-being pushed to sell credit cards is not pride-inducing
-not much exposure to other lines of business outside of retail

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

be more creative and innovative with incentive plans. bankers do not want to just be credit card sellers. according to research, money incentive (by itself) often hinders creativity and motivation.
