I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Many areas, products, operations and functions to focus your career in. Great benefits - medical/dental, vacation, sick leave, maturity/paternity leave, holidays, etc.

    Cons

It is easy to get stuck or pigeon-holed into a position by management. It often requires a sideways move to another group to prove your potential.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A little appreciation goes a long way. Saying thank you to each individual and not the entire group would seem more personal.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You don't have to work terribly hard--you just have to appear that you are working hard
    Flexible schedules.

    Cons

    Incompetent management
Lots and Lots of management--instead of giving financial reward, they give manager and team lead titles, so you get lots of middle management layers that have zero competency in managing or leading.
Management that does not understand what they are managing
Way too many people whose sole purpose is to attend meetings, never achieving anything concrete, and always saying they "have no time"
    Very little training
Hemorrhaging money is what this place does best --10s of Billions over the last several years--that essentially says it all about what is wrong with the place

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slash the useless layers of management, and identify those that actually get work done, despite all the interference from incompetent "leaders"; keep the "doers"

    Disapproves of CEO
