Bank of America – “Whats it like to work INSIDE the BANK?!”

Pros

Security. During the hard times we are living in, I am fully confident I am employed at one of the Banks that will be left standing, if not stronger, when the economy turns up again, BOFA is extremely strong, and will never go under. Total job security. Also, At BOFA, it seems there are countless career paths. I have so many directions that I could choose to go into, with outstanding training in every path. BOFA is competitive, innovative, always coming up with products/ services before its competitors.

Cons

-Pay is the main one. I know I am paid comparitively low for what I do, compared to other financial institutions.

-In the banking center, they will not give enough teller hours. They put so much emphasis on customer expirience, but do not want to pay more tellers. We do not have enough teller hours.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay on Performance is not the best idea. I could work my butt off striving for excellence in the banking center, but if others don't care, it is not enough. We do not make our goals, and I don't get a bonus for all the hard work I did. Also- if you value someone enough, pay them commencerate with what they should be making. BOFA acknowledges it is one of the lower paying financial insitutions, I think that should change.
Also- be more realistic about expectations from the banking centers.
