I have been working at Bank of the West full-time for more than a year

Pros

They are a bank with a solid footing and a sound appreciation for their customers. Good working atmosphere.

Cons

Communication seems to eddy at the senior management level, trickling down more slowly than is optimal.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

In a project and knowledge based environment, it is important for communications to flow. Share more about new projects and priority realignments with the senior staff.

I have been working at Bank of the West full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent pay, moderately good benefits, and plenty of overtime

    Cons

Run by skeleton crew, frequent management missteps, and deaf to employee concerns. Call center is under extreme brain drain as everyone has moved on to other companies. This would imply there are open opportunities for advancement, but after a year I've already hit the ceiling on how far they are willing to advance an employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If we felt a little bit more valued and a little less like cattle we'd probably stick around longer. Also, every other contact center in the region hires for around $2 an hour more than your starting wages, this is why you cannot fill a training class.
