I worked at Bankers Life & Casualty full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great training. It was some of the best training I've ever had. The branch manager really cares about the agents.

Cons

Cold calling. If you're not good at cold calling, you better get good at knocking on people's doors. There are no benefits or salary. Bonuses are very hard to get.

    I have been working at Bankers Life & Casualty as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

    Good commission rates, Increasing market, Great training. Other agents very willing to help if you are putting forth effort.

    Cons

    100% commission so make sure there is enough money in the bank for you to live on for 6 months to a year until renewals start.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To reduce turnover of new agents, implement a small base salary. Advertise in markets where Bankers name is not known.

    Pros

    Overall great people to work with. Leads were given. Quality of leads suspect. Commissions paid rapidly.

    Cons

    Management plays preferences. DNC list is ignored. A bait and switch tactic is used on unknowing seniors to sell them insurance. A ton of calls needs to be made in order to set appointments. High turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Come clean with what you are doing instead of trying to dupe seniors. They are smarter than you give them credit for.
