I worked at Bankers Life & Casualty as a contractor for less than a year

Pros

Freedom to work the way that fits you best. Support in your growth as an agent from everyone there. Class room training is some of the best.

Cons

Field training was horrible. Very inconsistent from person to person.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put together a consistent field training program that is on par with the classroom training.

I worked at Bankers Life & Casualty as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Positive thinking that you will make over 100k your first year.

    Cons

The leads were terrible. Tons of cold calling. Script was deceptive and manipulative. If you go by the numbers you will call over 500 numbers weekly to schedule 15 appointments to possible make 3 sales a week. You have better odds winning at a casino. Make sure you have another income or lots in savings before embarking with Bankers because you will not make much the first few months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Base Pay for new agents . Better field training. Be straight up about the job in the presentation pow-wow. Did not expect to cold call and be deceptive on the phone to earn an appointment.

I have been working at Bankers Life & Casualty as a contractor for more than 3 years

    Pros

Bankers has: flexible hours, unlimited earning potential, quarterly bonus, pension plan, contests and trips for incentives. The training program was ranked 88 in the world by training magazine. This is for sure a career where your income will match your efforts. Those who chose to succeed, will succeed.

    Cons

The drawbacks would have to be the lack of health insurance, 401k, and receiving a 1099 at the end of the year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bankers has been in business for 134 yrs. Management is doing fine!
