Former Employee - Food Service in Miami, FL

    Pros

Job security, decent pay, lots of co-workers so the opportunity to meet a bunch of people and make friends is always a plus.

    Cons

they hire stupid people as managers, people that have no experience in that feild, they try to be different from other baptist hospitals (which makes no sense) so they end up screwing everything up. extremely unorganized.. great benefits if u can afford them which most non-degree workers cant..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

do more research on your management team. make benefits accessible to everyone.

Current Employee - Oncology RN  in  Miami, FL
Current Employee - Oncology RN in Miami, FL

    Pros

There is opportunity for growth and advancement
they say they care about their employees

    Cons

nurse patient ratio is ridiculous.........Im lucky if i get to pee before 2pm and forget about eating or sitting down in a 12 hour period. It is not fair to my patients to have a nurse that can not give them the medical and emotional support they need and deserve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the nurse staff ration 1:4 for med surg and specialties (as recommended by the NNOC) before ALL of your oncology RN's leave you to work for the Doctors offices where they feel their license is safe and they actually get to eat lunch.
