    Pros

If you like reading and being on top of all the latest books then this is the place for you. All the employees here are very friendly and make great co-workers. Management is organized and will teach you or help you in anything you need to make the best of your job if you ask them.

    Cons

Not the best choice for a lifetime career if you are a bookseller. Once you are management and have become fulltime then you can consider staying and retiring in the company.

    Advice to Management

Management should try to involve themselves more with the staff and be more motivational.

  2. I was a Department Manager at a store that was located in a large mall.

    Pros

The people who are typically employed at the worlds largest bookstore are usually literate and interested in books and the additionally the products associated with books.

    Cons

As Amazon continues to grow in popularity, the brick and mortar bookstores like Barnes & Noble have shrinking traffic and a major drop in sales.

    Advice to Management

Remember that it is the bookseller on the sales floor that will keep customers spending their time and money in the stores. Please keep enough staff employed and paid well to keep the doors open.
