I'd rather work at McDonalds

Physician Recruiter (Former Employee) Peabody, MA

ProsThe employees are awesome. I made a lot of great friends while working here that I still stay in touch with.

ConsFirst of all, the hours are awful. They make you work from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday with a mandatory lunch break from 12-1. Every morning there is an hour-long meeting from 7-8 where you go over the same old stupid "lessons" and do role plays with other members of the group. Nobody gets anything out of these meetings. You're expected to get 3 hours of phone time a day, which is not easy to do (unless you call Dell's Den over and over, of course). As a recruiter, they only care about how many new physicians you're bringing in, not how many deals you're closing. Why is that? Because you're not going to be with the company very long (high turnover) and they want the resources to keep making money after you're gone. The management is incompetent. Many of them (including the CEO) come from a sister company (IT recruiting) and fail to realize that it's a completely different market. I could go on and on but this should give you a pretty good idea...

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees like human beings! Nobody should hate showing up to work every day. Also, the morning meetings should really only be for new hires. Everyone else should work 8-5.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Associate Recruiter

Associate Recruiter (Former Employee) Enfield, CT

I worked at Barton Associates full-time for less than a year

Pros: Health & Dental, 401K, Life Insurance. Otherwise, nothing. Cons: Let me start by saying that I was only at this company for three weeks and every week someone either quit or was fired. … No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
