Pros

Baruch College has a very friendly environment, people here have a pretty collectivist view about work and success, overall, a good place to work.

Cons

Compared to some of the other Universities in NYC, salaries at Baruch are not extremely competitive. There is a lack of resource in recent years due to the financial crisis, CUNY has not been able to cope with it too well.

    Pros

    -Flexible schedule
    -Great people
    -Our manager was pretty cool
-Great job as a college student

    Cons

-You can only make so much money
    -it's part time only
-You can't really move up in the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open more hours for students to work. This is a great job. There should be a room designated for the College Fund. It sucks when we have to cancel a shift because someone needs to rent the room.

    Pros

Autonomy is high and good opportunities for growth and career development and feelings of self-satisfaction and achievement. Would recommend to others.

    Cons

Pay level is lower than other business schools in the New York City metropolitan area, but beneifts are quite good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Could do more to raise prestige of Baruch College and, especially, funding for the college. Raising funds should be the primary job of leadership.
