I have been working at Basic American Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

They still have the best dry potatoes in their category, and their beans are seriously top notch. They provide great training and decent perks

Cons

Upper management seems to be grasping at straws when it comes to a GTM strategy. Three rounds of major lay-offs, getting back to their "core" items and creating new positions doesn't seem to be working. They need to understand that in some markets, dry potatoes are still considered low-class cafeteria food, no matter how good they are. It's time to change your focus

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you have three major sets of lay-offs and the numbers still haven't turned around, maybe you need to start looking at those who are creating the strategies, instead of cutting those who are just following the orders.

    Pros

Positive work / life balance can be acheived, not a combative or highly competitive workplace.

    Cons

At times can be too collaboritive - driving gridlock, Veteran workforce and culture that is not readily open to change.
