Seems like a good place to work, but can be disfunctional.

I have been working at Baxter

    Pros

Good benefits, good work life balance. Good products that really help patients. Company has locations all over the world, making it easy to relocate if need arises.

    Cons

Rampant politics, favoritism, poorly trained leadership and employees. Poor understanding of regulatory requirements, especially process, software, design, and analytical method validation. More emphasis put on making and saving money than on doing things right per the regulatory requirements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

VPs and many directors management needs to be replaced across the board: Regulatory agencies have been increasingly dissatisfied with Baxter for over a decade and the trend is increasingly higher numbers of 483s/warning letters. The consent decree was issued over 5 years ago and the deficiencies are not resolved because leadership does not understand how to get into compliance. Maximum profit is top priority. Ever since the Vital Behaviours werer rolled out, Baxter have become increasingly disfunctional. - tell management what they want to hear, don't speak up unless you have another job lined up. Politics and favouritism are rampant. Business systems are outdated or nonexistant.
