I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 3 years)

most of the people, lack of supervision, turnover (always meeting new friends),

Cons

most of the people, lack of supervision, turnover (always training new people)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

do it different, lose the bad managers ('bout 50%) check with me before hireing anyone' becuase you don't know what you are doing.so many people getting moving bonus and sign on bonus for a two year stint. Change it to 5 years for the money you are dishing out. Grunts need to work 5 & 10 years to get 3 or 4 weeks vacation and newbies come in with 4 or 5 weeks use that plus more then leave. Again check with me before hiring. Plus keep it more american and don't hire pregnant women. If you want to throw away money throw it at the semi dedicated employees before more of them leave.
Get rid of the mold not the good employees. Worst departments to work with because of attitude or lack of knowledge: RA TS QA Eng. Decent departments: SA Maint

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Lots of learning opportunities if you are willing to take on additional responsibilities outside of your job description.

    Cons

Clueless management, they don't want to hear "no" and just want you to drink the koolaid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the people on the floor so you don't keep losing the best team players when they feel alienated.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility, Impact lives, Global, Open to change. The very best company in terms of work / life and ability to drive results when ever you can. Opportunity to do good work is there, the opportunity to rise in the organization to positions commesserate with experience is limited.

    Cons

Difficult to rise up and reach potential once in a position, everyone is a senior program manager there - it means nothing regarding influence, stature, experience, success. Results do not lead to promotion - supporting VP views does.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Normalize talent pool based on experience, potential and look past the old school favoritism. Leaders during times of change need to be dynamic high energy and engaging vs. isolating and waiting for others to write their scripts.
