I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Convenient locations. Pay competitive with other organizations. Good benefits.

Cons

"Good old boy" network. Do not think outside the box. "We have always done it this way".

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Putting a freeze on furthering education is detrimental to the growth of the organization. The lack of using fresh ideas is driving new blood to other organizations and will eventually bring down Baxter.

I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Employees are incredibly dedicated to helping patients-the mission is ingrained.
Company loyalty to employees is higher than most and vice-versa. Employees get along well and are very social in the workplace.

    Cons

Employees never leave or rotate roles so intellectual growth and change are impossible
    Procedures, processes, policies...paralysis
Too many old, outdated products consuming resources-especially in R&D.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really need to focus on the future of healthcare. Lifecycle maintenance of cheap widgets is not sustainable.
