I have been working at Baxter full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good robust company to work for, lots of opportunities for growth depending on business and facility where you work, decent pay.

    Cons

opportunities for advancement often ruled by "business needs" and depending who you know or who likes you, pay could be better based on what the make.

I worked at Baxter as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

The place is good for time-off and no growth.

    Cons

If you want to throw your career in the water, the Global IT department is right for you. I worked there for a year and a half with no appreciation for results, half-hearted commitments, worst diversity experience. Everytime a task came to the table, the PM and the Director used to always shuffle it to the contractors without providing adequate time for completion. The result job dissatisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you commit to people on project length be specific and truthful, as once committed to a project the individual has to decline other opportunities.
