You have to kiss some senior guy's ass otherwise you will either die quickly or get stuck

I worked at Beam Global Spirits & Wine

    Pros

Good benefits, long vacation (4 weeks for everyone evey freshmen out of college), matching 401K, free coffee, several hundred dollars allowance on alcohol purchase every year

    Cons

Culture is very bad - became worse and worse since there is a re-org every year. All the "Old school" guys are knocked out. If you are 40+, with the company for 5+ yrs, and still not a director or just a junior director, you will be out eventually, unless you are backed by a senior executive who is normally much younger and meaner than you. The senior management have been all new faces since 2008-2009 re-org and they keep hiring new bloods to replace the old. It's not about how good you are. It's just about whose ass you are kissing. And if you are too old, even though you want to kiss their ass they would rathe hire some analysts right out of college and promote them into managers in a year or two.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice - The senior management know what they are doing. They want to do it because it's in their best interest.
